Dynamic Behavior in Transition Zones and Long-Term Railway Track Performance

چکیده

Transition zones between embankments and bridges or tunnels are examples of critical assets the railway infrastructure. These locations often exhibit higher degradations rates, mostly due to development differential settlements, which amplify dynamic train-track interaction, thus further accelerating settlements deteriorating track components vehicles. Despite technical scientific interest in predicting long-term behavior transition zones, few studies have been able develop a robust approach that could accurately simulate this complex structural response. To address topic, work presents three-dimensional finite element (3D FEM) tracks at zones. The considers both plastic deformation ballast layer using high-cycle strain accumulation model non-linearity vehicle-track interaction results from evolution deformed states itself. shed some light into evidence response structures its interdependency with transient interaction. Aspects when assessing performance these systems analyzed detail, might be relevance for researchers practitioners design, construction, maintenance processes.
